Sophia is the 11-year-old daughter of Greg and Sarah Cecil. She resides in Burlington, Kentucky, with her parents. Sophia is currently in the sixth grade and prides herself on being a straight A Honor Roll student. After completing her education, Sophia’s goal is to become a professional barrel racer. Outside of school and volunteering with her church, Sophia enjoys spending time riding and caring for her horses.

 

When asked why she wanted to be a Junior Miss Rodeo Kentucky titleholder, Sophia said, “Since my friend, Abby Williams won Miss Teen Rodeo Kentucky titleholder, I have been thinking that it would be an honor to be a titleholder as well. Abby has inspired me to reach for my goals personally and my equestrian goals. If I am honored with Miss Junior Kentucky Rodeo, I hope to inspire others to reach for their goals”.
